conducts forestry operations on Crown land in New Brunswick. We recognize that the long-term viability of our operations
as well as the well being of our employees and community is dependent upon maintaining a healthy environment and sustainable

laws and regulations and other requirements to which we may subscribe.
- Minimize the environmental impact of our operations
by incorporating best management practices.
- Raise employees' awareness of our commitment to environmental protection
and the prevention of pollution through education, training and participation.
- Respond diligently and timely in the
event of an environmental incident.
- There will be no use of herbicides or pesticides on Newcastle Lumber
Co. private land.
- The implementation of the SFI® standard, including where applicable, using
responsible practices, providing for reforestation, maintaining the productive capacity of the forest, protecting forests
from fire, insects and disease, maintaining soil productivity, and protecting water resources and special sites.
